Top Chef- Andrea Beaman has cooking classes in her NY apartment
Through my training at the Institute for Integrative Nutrition in New York City I learned of Andrea Beaman. Her energy is contagious and her life an inspiration. She first became interested in nutrition after watching her mom slowly die of breast cancer at a young age. Later she developed thyroid disease due to poor diet. Her doctors wanted to do radiation and kill her thyroid, but she was determined to heal herself, and heal she did! She now has a thriving practice, her own T.V. show (how sweet is that) and a couple of books under her belt. Her cooking classes are a joy. Some are conducted casually in her New York apartment. She cooks with enthusiasm and injects the class with nutritional tips as well as a good dose of humor. While travelling it is easy to comprimise food quality, at least at her class I have a home cooked meal made with love.
